With your donation, we will continue to aid more Filipinos in times of calamity and crisis.
With the support of generous donors, brave volunteers and friends, our team was able to provide the much-needed assistance to communities under the ‘Panday Bayanihan’ initiative.
Our Story
FPJ Panday Bayanihan draws its essence from the iconic film “Ang Panday” by Fernando Poe Jr., a symbol of heroism and selflessness. The term “Panday” signifies more than a blacksmith; it embodies the Filipino spirit to forge, build, and uplift. while “Bayanihan” refers to the spirit of community action inherent among Filipinos. Thus, our goal is to build the spirit of Bayanihan among Filipinos and to channel it towards those in need.
Our journey began in 2013 when Typhoon Maring struck. United by a common purpose, we extended relief packs to the affected. Through various trials—Typhoon Yolanda, Marawi siege, and Taal Volcano eruption—FPJ Panday Bayanihan remained steadfast, offering assistance and hope to those in need.
Amidst the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, FPJ Panday Bayanihan took the lead. Since the onset of community quarantine in March 2020, we have been unceasingly providing relief goods and essential personal protective equipment across the nation. This impactful endeavor is powered by the generosity of individuals from diverse walks of life, each contributing to our cause.
Through its President Brian Poe Llamanzares, FPJ Panday Bayanihan has established strategic partnerships to further its mission. The foundation has joined forces with Ang Liga and UP Cebu’s Varsity Program to empower young athletes through training and support and collaborated with SustainablePH to enhance its Learn2Lead Sustainability program, emphasizing community action and environmental stewardship.
These collaborations underscore the organization’s commitment to holistic development and sustainability. In essence, FPJ Panday Bayanihan has transformed the cinematic inspiration of forging communal unity into tangible action. We continue to foster the flame of Bayanihan, creating a movement where Filipinos stand together, shoulder to shoulder, to provide aid and support.
